With digital verification, the physical address check that used to take a week can now be completed within a day via a video call. These digital alternatives help for a quicker and more efficient verification process compared to traditional methods.

Here are some of the digital equivalents of the standard checks:

– Address verification: Agent-assisted, digital address verification (DAVe) 

– Employment check: EPFO (details fetched on PF online portal)

– Qualification check: DigiLocker (Education documents fetched from Digilocker with the consent of the candidate) 

– Criminal check: Digital court record checks + eFIR database

 

However, we can also conduct all these checks in the traditional manner by reaching out to HRs and universities.

We suggest conducting pre-onboarding checks such as ID verification, Database checks, and Criminal checks. These checks help determine if investing time and resources in hiring a candidate is worthwhile. 

 

Once the offer is accepted, you can proceed with comprehensive checks including employment history, educational qualification verification, and address verification.

TAT, or Turnaround Time, refers to the duration needed to complete a background check for an employee, starting from initiation until the final report is delivered. Similarly, the median TAT represents the time taken to complete 50% of all initiated cases.

When a case is labeled as “Amber,” it means that there is some sort of insufficiency or inadequate data provided by the candidate.

IDfy’s median TAT is 1 day for pre-onboarding checks and 5 days for comprehensive checks.

In the industry, the typical BGV median TAT is 21 days for comprehensive checks and 3 days for pre-onboarding checks. At IDfy, we surpass these standards significantly.
